The wait is finally over!

Caffe Nuovo is here and breakfast will never be the same in the North End neighborhood again. This new dining hot spot has been bustling for the last few days before their opening. The staff has been hard at work making sure the food and service is just right, and they have hit the ground running with delicious and creative food with friendly and fast service. This upscale 84-seat, two-floor North End spot is located in the former Paesan’s/La Brace location. It has been overhauled with grey walls with modern details, dark woods, exposed beams, and features an intimate 12-table downstairs dining room.

The food at Caffe Nuovo is made to impress. They offer traditional breakfast items with a few adventurous dishes. The truffled scrabbled eggs are tasty and come with a delicious side of hash browns grilled with thin slivers of onion. But my absolute favorite is the fried chicken and waffles! This unusual combination of foods is beloved by many people who are influenced by traditions of soul food passed down from past generations of their families. As unusual as it might seem, some believe that Thomas Jefferson himself brought a waffle iron back from France in the 1790s and the combination began appearing in cookbooks shortly thereafter.
