This post was written by my mother, Paula Martin. It was my favorite part of Thanksgiving growing up, and I am happy to share it with you. Thanks for the tasty treat mom! This recipe was made with the most delicious Mutsu Apples from Nashoba Valley Winery. You can check out the first part of this baking adventure here.
Looks good, but Mom hasn’t made it for us yet! Any leftovers?
I could dig into that pie for breakfast! Really digging the non-traditional look of your apple pie. Crumbling goodness. Thanks for joining our Virtual Pizza Party and for your support in PFB. -Katy
Hi; I have two apple trees in my garden and they are full of apples now to such an extent that the brunches bare getting broken. So as you say this is the time for apple recipees. And your crusty pie simply looks lovely.
Yay! An apple pie recipe for me! I’m a bit intimidated by making a double pastry crust for a traditional apple pie, plus I’m not a big fan of that kind of crust. This pie sounds perfect and delicious! I can imagine crunching into a walnut and juicy apple in one bite!
